What is included in a comprehensive eye examination?
Our eye examinations are tailored to your individual needs, but typically include:
Vision assessment
- A thorough review of your medical history and ocular health.
- A series of tests to assess the quality of your vision, including visual acuity, refraction and binocular vision evaluation.
- Assessment of children's vision development and school readiness, offering myopia control when needed.
Eye health evaluation
- A detailed inspection of the front and back of the eye, screening for common eye conditions including meibomian gland dysfunction, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
- The assessment includes slit lamp evaluation, fundus photography (retinal imaging), tonometry (intraocular pressure measurement), OCT (non-invasive ultrasound-like evaluation of the eye), corneal topography and visual field testing when clinically indicated.
- Thorough discussion of your results, recommendations for future care and referral if required.
